It might seem unusual for a minister to leave their job without another destination set. Below is a video speaking to why I left my role at Faith Baptist Church. This video was originally sent to the congregation in the hours following my announcement during worship. To be clear, there was no scandal that led to my leaving. I did not feel any pressure to resign from the church. I cherish the many incredible relationships I built at Faith and continue to believe in their powerful potential. It was just time to go. I’m happy to talk about this further with any future prospective employers and can provide references from the congregation.
